Welcome to Brentwood Choral Society

Our historic choir holds regular local performances…

We are friendly, local, mixed voice choir, rehearsing weekly in term time in Brentwood Essex. We aim to present the traditional choral repertoire whilst embracing new works and ideas. Our concerts are a mix of the choral greats and light classical music.

We offer a warm welcome!

We welcome both our audience and new members alike. We very much enjoy our singing and the informal social atmosphere of our rehearsals. We aim to reach a good standard.

We sing both sacred and secular music…

Brentwood Choral Society hold regular concerts and events. We often perform in Brentwood Cathedral in joint concerts with the Cathedral Singers.

We welcome members of all skill levels…

Our Musical Director and supportive members will help you, and before you know it you will be singing with confidence.

Where and when our rehearsals take place…

We meet in Brentwood School‘s music room on Monday evenings. The venue has good access and parking close by.

BCS are pleased to present an evening of Christmas music to start the festive season. The programme includes Morten Lauridsen’s Nocturnes, John Gardiner‘s Tomorrow Shall be my Dancing Day, Rutter’s What Sweeter Music, as well as a bit of Mariah Carey and Slade.

There will also be instrumental pieces, which include Vivaldi’s Winter from the Four Seasons and some Corelli Christmas Concerto excerpts, as well as traditional carols for you to join in with.

We’re delighted to be joined by the Bluebirds children’s choir again.

Most importantly there are mince pies, tea and coffee for a taste of Christmas.
